Rachel B (Wood) James was born October 26th, 1931 & departed this earthly world on July 10th, 2016; which was much too soon than her loved ones would have preferred, but God needed his angel & He knows what's best.
Rachel was raised in Spindale, NC. In adulthood she married & raised her family in Detroit, MI. Rachel was a humble, nurturing & loving woman who devoted her life to Christ. Throughout her life, she would encourage others to follow the light to Christ. Rachel supported wellness, humanitarian & animal advocate initiatives. One might say she became an animal 'lover' by default because her daughter (Karen) would routinely return home on college breaks with rescues but she'd return to school without them. Given Mom's less than convincing protest, she knew Mom would care for her 'fur babies' & love them unconditionally which is what she did! It should be noted, it's likely the rescues were 'secretly' housed during school semesters hence requiring frequent drop-offs to Mom's. Over the years Rachel began rescuing her own fur-babes as well as adopting various families of fish.
The evolution of Rachel B's Boutique is a testament of Honor, Gratitude & Admiration for Mothers (like Rachel) who have demonstrated throughout life what Unconditional Love, Faith & Humanity looks & feels like! And, if gone before us, they are undoubtedly Loving our Angles in heaven! Gentle Blessings!!

The Boutique offers an array of boutiquee type one-of-a-kind items as well as weekly local artists showcased-items, jewelry, home. decor., animal stuffed toys/other supplies,. By appt. only & at the manager's discretion, we'll also accept high-end consignment items for up to 90-days. Every week there's new and different merchandise. The boutique's often described as an animal friendly hang-out where you are greeted by friendly staff & can find wonderful & unique goods.
Intimate (2--10) meeting space is also donated to community based organizations; private businesses and/or other professional service providers who are supportive of our cause.
